Miller was the principal actor in Stephen Schwartz's acclaimed 1973 musical "Pippin" in Broadway. "Pippin" was created by Tony Award winning director Diane Paulus directed "Pippin" in addition to featured Matthew James Thomas and Andrea Martin. Terrence Mann and Matthew James Thomas were the other stars. Patina put her own contemporary twist on Ben Vereen's part and was able to master the Fosse movements that were so crucial in the production. Patina was awarded a Tony Award for Best Performance of an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical.
